Meet Amy

       I'm a southern girl that loves the sunshine. 
I love to feel it, capture it, and share its happiness with others.  Especially through photos.  I love the simple, sweet pleasures of life. I love cheesecake, puppies, my baby boys, and a hot red-head named Spencer (who happens to be my forever squeeze).  I love to LAUGH ... like doubled over, deep gut, LOUD Laughter.  I came from a huge family with 7 kids ... and we ALL like to laugh!  

I was born and raised in Warner Robins, GA.  After graduating from Houston County High School I left home to attend college in the snowy mountain west at Brigham Young University - Idaho.  While there I met and married Spencer.  Best decision I ever made, of course.  And after graduating school we lived in a few other locations like Southern California and Northern Virginia.  I'm so thankful for those memorable years and experiences.  I learned so much about myself and about life.  But deep down I always missed my southern comfort.  And I am so thankful that I was able to return back to my roots several years ago.  I love the South.  But I also love to look for the positive and the good that every place has to offer ... and that every person has to offer.  I feel like I see someone as their best, most beautiful self when I am looking at them through the lens of a camera.  And I love being able to capture the sunshine that they radiate and allow them to see it for themselves in the photos.  

I've always had a passion for anything expressive and creative including drawing, painting, music, fashion, home decor, crafting, and scrapbooking. My love of scrapbooking developed into a desire to improve my photos, which has since evolved into a passion for photography and capturing life as it is.  Like we all do, I've experienced the ups and downs of life including difficult heartaches.  But I've discovered that when I'm looking through the lens of a camera, my perspective alters and so does my attitude.  What appeared dark and dull at first can morph into something bright and beautiful through a clearer focus.  And I can see the sunshine in the midst of the clouds.  I love my life and I love trying to find the Sunshine in it and the world around me... It's amazing what you can find, if you just look.
